Tina tries to keep Eric close to her by trying to set him up with a friend of hers…not to mention concocting scenarios where it is appropriate and not suspicsious to be seen with Eric. In the meantime, Tina’s husband uncovers his wife’s feelings for Eric though he can never confirm she is having an affair. Eric and Tina are able to stay one step ahead of her husband…but for how long?
This is a great suspense story as Eric and Tina’s actions kept me guessing. One of the chapters is titled whiplash and Eric commented that Tina did this to him, which in a sense their story did to me as well. I have never read a story written in a journal format, so this was new to me and I found that I like this style of writing. What I wish would have captured me more is the dialogue. At times the dialogue felt choppy and forced which made it difficult for me to feel the sincerity in what Eric and Tina were expressing. I enjoyed the story and it was intrigued to keep reading to find the answers. Although not all of my questions were answered as there is a cliffhanger. If you enjoy suspenseful books that keep you guessing, this book is for you. Give this a try and find your next crush! Rating: 3 stars
