Anna Rossi lives by one simple rule: don’t get attached, don’t get hurt. But Alec Flynn doesn’t play by the rules…

Anna never takes on a massage client without screening him first, but the paycheck offered by billionaire Maxim Stein is too good to turn down. Stein is the richest man she’s ever laid her hands on, and despite the risks, she trusts that she can take care of herself. After all, she’s handled difficult clients in the past. What she isn’t prepared for is getting caught in a compromising situation by Maxim’s tall, dark, and gorgeous bodyguard—or the desperate desires he awakens in her…

Alec is dangerous. The mysterious, hard-bodied man is completely irresistible and won’t be refused, no matter what walls Anna puts up to protect herself. But as Anna falls fast for his careful ministrations and mind-blowing skills, she begins to realize that giving herself over to a man with so many secrets isn’t just putting her heart at risk—it’s endangering her life…

Review

Anna, a successful masseuse at the trendy salon, Rave meets Alec on her way to a house appointment with a wealthy client. The tease factor was exciting and left extreme sexual tension in the air. The heated desire Sierra has flowing between Anna and Alec resulted in goosebumps and panted breathing. But beyond the sexual tension that drew me further into the story and Anna’s journey was the suspense and mysteriousness Alec hid behind. Anna has experienced hurt and loss from when she was a child that provides an understanding of her “keep moving” lifestyle. The depth of secrets and mystery was deeper than I could’ve imagined upon finding out Alec’s job description. There were truly beautiful moments between Anna and Alec that I was one with them and what they were experiencing. But other times, situations would go cold and I could feel the distance and walls being placed between them. I got this from Sierra’s writing and the emotion she puts forth in her words. I got a complete picture of who Anna and Alec are and they may question themselves at times but this is in self-protection. I felt that the suspense was resolved by the end and no strings were left untied. Sierra’s plot of Anna and Alec’s journey and their characterizations were seamless and necessary information was given in fitting moments with the flow of the storyline. I went in thinking The Masseuse was going to be a sexy, steamy novel about just that (a masseuse). But I was beyond ecstatic when I realized it was that and much more with the angst and suspense (I wasn’t expecting) grabbing me and demanding my attention. Give this a try and find your next book crush!!
