Book Details

Accused of a horrible crime and on the run, Kat has been rejected by everyone she loves. She’s a fugitive from her past, flitting from town to town with nothing but the clothes on her back. Until she meets a man who literally stops her in her tracks.

This notorious bounty hunter, with his stunning good looks and powerful instincts, never fails to capture his prey. But there’s something about his newest mark that gets under his skin–and it’s not just the naked innocence he sees in her eyes. Behind his ice cold demeanor, he has his own secrets… and now his lively, vulnerable captive is about to crack him wide open.

As they drive across the country together, neither of them can deny the spark of attraction between them. Will their journey force these two passionate opposites together…or will their dangerous secrets be too much to bear?

Review

A woman running from her choices.
A sexy, tattooed fugitive recovery agent hunting her.
So if that doesn’t pull you in, wait till you find out who he’s working for.
That chase and catch kept me on edge and the push and pull thereafter kept me intrigued. I felt connected to Kat in ways that she spoke what was on her mind, was impulsive and instinctual. Seeing how this drove Oz to snap at times, break down his walls had me cracking up and cheering her on. The storyline flowed smoothly and the plot was suspenseful in just the right places as well as intimately personal in others. I was hoping Oz would disclose himself sooner, but I understand that part of the mystery regarding who he was and what he’s all about. Tattoos, compass, “you always have a choice”…Oz needs no water to gain more hotness points, I will vouch for that! The plot thickens at the right times and everything is tied up in a bow for me at the end. With dual POVs, as the reader you get to experience the internal struggles both Kat and Oz are dealing with. This allows for a deeper connection with them and you can understand where they get their hang-ups and self-doubt. The back and forth happened more times than I’d like to see where I felt Oz/Samuel and Kat could move forward instead of stalling in their progression. But that’s their fight, their struggle that got them to the ending. Give this a try and find your next book crush! Rating: 4 bounty hunting stars
