Review
Mackenzie (Mac) and her friends experienced a traumatic accident the evening of their high school graduation that left them broken and at times shattered. This is Mac’s story of picking up the pieces and growing in the direction she wants to head. A run-in with an individual (Bentley) from that tragic evening has her opening up to situations and experiences Mac otherwise would’ve kept herself closed off from. Mac’s story started off emotionally hard to read but Tiffany pulled me in and had me enthralled with the delivery of hope and overcoming struggles throughout the novel. Bentley supports and stands beside Mac yet she tip toes within their relationship as her fear remains of losing those she gets close to and loves. Mac is a strong, independent woman and her strength that stood out the most for me is when she owns up to her faults and takes back what she knows she deserves and wants, that which makes her happy and complete. I’m anxious to hear more of this group of friends, especially what becomes of Zach and Kat (friends of Mac’s that were also in the accident). Give this a try and find your next book crush in Bentley!
