Eversea by Natasha Boyd
Publication date: June 10th 2013
Synopsis:
• An orphaned small-town southern girl, burdened by responsibility and stuck in time.
• A Hollywood A-list mega-star, on the run from his latest scandal and with everything to lose.
• A chance encounter that leads to an unlikely arrangement and epic love affair that will change them both forever.
When his co-star and real-life girlfriend is caught cheating on him with her married and much older director, A-list hottie, Jack Eversea, finds himself in sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina. Jack hopes the sultry southern heat in this tiny coastal Lowcountry town will hide him not only from the tabloids and his cheating girlfriend, but his increasingly vapid life and the people who run it. He doesn’t count on meeting Keri Ann Butler.
Keri Ann has relied on herself so long, dealing with her family’s death and the responsibilities of keeping up her family’s historic mansion, that boys and certainly the meager offering of eligible boys in Butler Cove, have never figured into her equation. But fate has other plans. Suddenly face to face with the man who played the movie role of her favorite fictional character, Jack has Keri Ann yearning for everything she has previously avoided … and Jack must decide whether this funny, sassy girl is worth changing his life for, before his mistakes catch up to him.
Eversea is a FINALIST in the Winter Rose Unpublished Contest for 2013

Review
Wow, my heart is racing hardcore!! The cliffhanger was just the right amount of perfect with a good ending but obviously got my heart built up for more that I can’t wait for the next installment. The book’s main character is Keri Ann and she’s innocent and not looking for love, yet it finds her anyways. Enter Jack, so swoonworthy!! He’s an actor fleeing from recent events in his life (unbeknownst to him) to Keri Ann’s town. The friendship they build is a strong base quickly built but the sexual tension rolls off them like waves are natural to the ocean shore. “Do you think it’s normal for people to feel this, whatever this is that happens when we are in the same room with each other?” Keri Ann and Jack share their thoughts openly with one another and this helps us fall in love with their story even more because it allows us to feel what they’re feeling. Told from Keri Ann’s POV (except the final chapter), we otherwise wouldn’t know what Jack was thinking or feeling if their communication wasn’t so open. The heat throughout the book seared me…”His hand continued its journey up to my throat and around to cup the back of my neck at the same time as he pulled my thigh up against his body and pressed against me.” Damn–that’s intense, sensual heat right there!! What’s amazing about Natasha’s work is that it’s not surface level, we get to truly know her characters and everything is described thoroughly. This book had me laughing, sweating, and crying. I grunted loudly when I had to set it down for work but got anxious when I was driving home to dive right back into it. Seeing the battle play out between desire and the impending reality laid out for Keri Ann and Jack made my hands sweat. The struggles that come across their path are unfortunate yet expected and like I said, yes there’s a cliffhanger but its soooo worth it!! So come along on this heart-felt journey and buy this one now! Give it a try! Rating: 5 stars Reviewed by Kara
